Some more or less interesting things about me...

I am one of the many voluntary editors with the Open Directory Project and have no affiliations with other organisations or companies that use ODP data. You can find my original profile here. I find editing with ODP a rewarding experience. After work I need something to relax. I always thought watching television was a waste of time. While editing here I relax and contribute to something useful!

I work as a pediatrician in a hospital in Rotterdam. Recently I started writing my own blog with a pediatric touch. Born in Cardiff (Wales) from Dutch parents. Did my primary school in Eldoret (a town in Kenya) on an English school, secondary / high school on a regular Spanish school near Barcelona in Catalonia (Spain), medical school in Rotterdam, the Netherlands at the Erasmus Medical School. So I speak the languages English, Dutch, Spanish and Catalan :-)

I have added hundreds of new categories to the Open Directory Project but I am especially proud to have created these categories (in three languages):

Health: Medicine: Evidence Based Medicine (Spanish, Dutch) and Society: Philosophy: Philosophy for Children (Spanish, Dutch)

The Kids and Teens directory has my special interest. I did an interview with Kiwibox about that.

Uit de categoriën waar ik redacteur van ben kun je een aantal hobbies en bezigheden van me achterhalen. Internet en kindergeneeskunde hebben vooral mijn belangstelling. Kindergeneeskunde.net is een site die ik hierover gemaakt heb. Mijn eerste stappen op internet zette ik begin 1995 en begin 1996 volgde mijn eerste homepage. Daar vind je informatie over Magic: the Gathering, Middle Earth: The Wizards en schaken, spellen waar ik me in die tijd veel mee bezig hield. Een overzicht van andere sites die ik in de loop van de tijd gemaakt heb vind je hier.
